What is Screen Printing?
Screen printing is a process in which a mesh screen and a squeegee are used to transfer ink onto materials, such as fabric. Popular for customizing t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel pieces, screen printing produces high-quality and durable prints.
How Does Screen Printing Work?
The most basic screen printing technique involves making a stencil on a mesh screen, then pushing ink through that stencil creating an imprint of your design onto a fabric or surface of choice.
While the printing process remains almost the same, there are many different stenciling techniques that can be used.
All designs created with the screen printing technique can use many shades of ink. However, in the case of a design with multiple colors, it is essential to use separate stencils for applying each individual color.
